Resume Builder (“the Extension”) is a browser extension that helps you create and export resumes. Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data the Extension handles and how.

Summary

• Your resume data stays on your device. We do not operate servers that receive your resume content.
• No account is required. The Extension works offline after installation.
• We do not sell your data.

Data stored locally

Resumes you create are saved in IndexedDB in your browser, on your device only. This includes names, contact details, work history, skills, and customization settings you enter in the editor.

You can delete individual resumes from the Saved tab inside the Extension. Uninstalling the Extension removes locally stored data from your browser.

Data we do not collect

The Extension does not:

• Transmit your resume content to our servers
• Require sign-in or collect email addresses for the Extension itself
• Use analytics or advertising trackers
• Sell or share personal information with third parties

Third-party services

If you choose fonts from the design panel, the Extension may load font files from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com). Google’s privacy policy applies to those requests: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

PDF export opens a print preview in a new browser tab on your device. No PDF is uploaded anywhere.

Permissions

• storage — required for local save functionality in the browser
• sidePanel — opens the resume editor in Chrome’s side panel

Children

The Extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect changes.
